Things to remember

All teams are responsible for trash and clean‐up after each use
Please adhere to the “FIELDS CLOSED” signs when posted
Do not practice on fields that are too wet or saturated
Please use the minimum amount of field space possible – make room for your neighbors
Older teams please be aware of younger teams practicing nearby
Please call (760) 459‐7697 if you encounter non‐SMYS teams on practice fields
Do not practice on any fields not listed above. SMYS’ insurance does not cover members on private/community parks and facilities

We have not yet received the our field permits for the 2012 Fall Season.

Please make sure you are following the 2012 Fall Practice instructions.

On February 13th 2011, a group of dedicated volunteers decided that it is time for the people of this community to have control over the soccer program that they have put so much time, effort and passion into.

We believe that the people of this community should have the right to make decisions on the day-to-day operations of our own San Marcos youth sports program. With this in mind, we feel that it is time to give the program back to San Marcos, and out of corporate control of a National Organization.

San Marcos Youth Soccer (SMYS) is going to be a locally run non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation formed by dedicated volunteers from the San Marcos Community.

With years of local experience and know how, our mission is to provide a family oriented soccer program that meets the needs of local players. A key difference in our program is that we are locally run and operated, as opposed to being governed by a National Organization. Our focus is the local players.

San Marcos Youth Soccer Organization runs an all-volunteer program. This means that all coaches, referees or administrators will not be paid for their volunteerism.
We recognize and appreciate all of our volunteers as outstanding citizens of the community – Community Heroes - and treat them accordingly.

Without the volunteers, the kids can't play soccer.

We thank you for the opportunity to provide youth soccer in San Marcos.

District Honoree Award

Cal South Honoree Award San Marcos Youth Soccer was recently recognized as a CalSouth District-2 Honoree for the league's outstanding contribution to youth soccer in the north county. The award was presented at the CalSouth Awards Banquet held at the Soccer Nation Expo on February 25th. Congratulations to all of the hardworking volunteers that have contributed to the success of SMYS over the past year. This local league for local families is lucky to have the support of such caring and dedicated people.

MM900336545 About one year ago, a group of about ten people got together and decided to form a new soccer league that would focus on the needs and desires of the local soccer community. That league became San Marcos Youth Soccer and what a year it has been! Since then, we have had over 1450 kids join our program.
